Please Let Me Know How Much You Like This (1 is very Bad - 10 is Excellent)

Rotary-to-Linear mechanism convert uniform rotation of 3 arm star like cam to reciprocation motion. For each rotation of the star, the yoke makes three reciprocation. Animation is not as good as I wanted to be, however it is easy to see the principles of this mechanism.

Effective and simple has to be with the least friction ( resistance) to avoid wear and tear especially at reciprocating piston.

Can this mechanism work if we use it in compressor of refrigerator to compress the piston using linear motion obtained from rotational motion of motor?

It's fairly obvious of course that there would be much less wear with a round striker on the blade and a corresponding round socket on the slide that released at right angles to the arm.
